Over the winter break, we visited the amazing National Building Museum, of which we are members. I love that they have so much kid-friendly stuff and that my kids can play well at times despite their age difference. Our first stop was the cafe, where we shared a couple of chocolate croissants. Then we checked out a few exhibits and saw a scale map of Washington, DC (this is the third photo). Then we went into the "Building Zone" -- an enclosed area where kids can play with all kinds of building toys. The kids hung out together for part of the time, but Tamar also got involved in a little project all her own that involved magnetic tiles being stuck together and then placed in order on a wall. We all had a lot of fun.
