Victoria is in Kansas!

I'm in Wichita, Kansas, for work.  The weather is beautiful and I am having a great time and a nice calm break from my beloved chaotic noisy family.

Aaron sent me a video of Benji telling me how much he loves me and misses me (I can't figure out how to connect it -- sorry!) and photos of the twins showing how much they miss me.

What does a resourceful parent do when her significant other is studying for exams and her kids need to be out of the house and entertained but she also has some reading for work do to on the weekend?

This one took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese, bought pizza for lunch, and let them play while I did my reading.  Win-win.

Water fountain park on a hot Friday after school

It was ridiculously hot last Friday and, after I picked the kids up from school, we went to Yards Park for a quick dip.  Aaron is studying for his final exams so I'm trying to keep the kids happy and out of the house.  They love this "pool" because the whole thing is only 10 inches deep so it's fun but also totally safe.  I didn't have bathing suits with me (it was a last minute decision and I only had time to grab a few towels) but I figured they could just wear their shorts (as many other kids there were doing). 

You may notice that Daniel had other ideas -- he wanted to wear his shorts, shirt, AND hat, as well as a pair of goggles!  What a silly boy he is.
