Benji and Tamar

Tamar was lying down in the parent bed for a few minutes because she was fussy and Daniel was asleep.  When I went to move her into the twins' room, I couldn't find her at first.  She had moved herself into Benji's room and they were cuddling and talking together.  So cute!

We went Christmas caroling with friends and Daniel was so worn out from the festivities that he fell asleep on me!  (check out the gorgeous eyelashes on this handsome boy)

Merry Xmas!

After a lazy morning, the kids got to open gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Hadfield (Victoria's parents) then had a great Skype call with them.  Now, off to see a matinee movie (Disney's Moana) and then dinner with our DC friends and their extended families.  --Victoria

 

Benji's art (Pokemon from YouTube video tutorials)

Aaron pulled up some "how to draw" video tutorials on YouTube and Benji has been using them to practice drawing -- a lot.  The results are impressive!

Karate Lessons for Daniel

Now that Benji has earned his yellow belt, he has passed along his white belt to Daniel and started teaching him karate.  Daniel loves this.  --Victoria

Hannukah decorations (part 1)

Benji took the pieces of the wall sticker dreidel and turned them into a "Hannukah House" (with a striking similarity to a pagoda).

Theatre Camp for Benji!

Last Friday, Benji's school had parent-teacher conferences and the kids didn't have classes -- so we signed Benji up for a day camp that does "a play in a day" where the kids make most of the decisions about the play's plot, characters, etc. and create playbills, costumes and a set, hold rehearsals, and put on a play at 5:00 pm for the adults who come to pick them up.


This past Friday's play was "Election of the Forest:  Hare vs. Tortoise (the mystery of the missing ballots)"


Benji played the part of the Tortoise!  (cleverly aided by part of Daniel's Halloween costume).  The two photos at the very end of this post are (1) him delivering his campaign speech, and (2) a copy of his campaign speech ("My name is Mr. Tortoise.  I am the leader of the Tortoise Party. P.S. Hare stinks.  I want to have a no cheating election."). The two pictures of him dancing are from the end of the play, when the full cast celebrated with a dance.
