Shopping with three kids

This time, Benji really wanted to go in the "car" with Daniel, so Tamar and I got to hang out together at the back of the cart.  I love the expression on the boys' faces in the second photo.  --Victoria

Benji's Art: A Bookmark For Doh the Dog

When Benji brought this home, he informed me that it was a "bookmark for Doh." --Victoria

Benji's Art: "I luv momay"

As I went through Benji's art from the past year, I couldn't believe how many pieces had "I luv momay" written on them.  I feel like the luckiest (and most beloved) mom ever.  --Victoria

Benji's Art: Our Family As Race Cars

Apparently Benji sometimes conceives of our family as race cars.  --Victoria

Tamar's Teething Trouble

Poor Tamar seems to have more teeth coming in, and they're making her very unhappy. She is fussy and wants to be held much of the time. She also chews on her hand so hard she leaves red marks on the skin and a trail of drool running down her arm. We're trying to give her things like cold carrots and little popsicles to relieve the pressure and discomfort. Fortunately, Celeste keeps her busy and distracted during the day and we try to do the same in the evenings.

Unfortunately, Tamar sometimes gives in to her grumpy mood and desire to create counter-pressure on her gums by chomping on her brothers! Benji has been reading her the book "Teeth Are Not For Biting" in a loud voice, hoping to discourage this behavior. He seems to believe that he can change her if he only reads loudly enough!

In this photo, you can see her going for her hand. Hopefully these teeth (the canines) will break through soon and she'll have some relief.

Benji's Art: "My Daddy At Work"

I've been taking inventory lately of Benji's art from the past couple of years.  Benji drew this in pre-K but it's worth showing because of the subject.  His teacher captioned it after asking him what it was.  Apparently this is Benji's conception of Aaron at work.  --Victoria

New Series: Benji's Art (Benji to Momy)

This is a picture Benji drew a few months ago. It reads, "Benji to Momy" -- although he's written it in reverse.  Hebrew writing reads from right to left, and Benji occasionally gets his letters and numbers backwards as a result.  --Victoria
