Making Cookies

Classic goofy sweet Benji, in a pre-haircut photo. I don't remember why he's holding nori sheets in the second photo--they certainly didn't go in the cookies!  --Victoria

Funny Baby Story (by Aaron)

So I was changing Daniel's diaper this morning. I had the diaper down on one side of me, Daniel was laying on the floor, Tamar was a few feet away. While I was getting Daniel out of his PJs, Tamar crawled over to me, picked up the diaper, and handed it to me. Now, this is a game they like playing, so I said thank you, and put it back down. Well, she picked it up and gave it to me again, so I said thank you, and put it back down. She picked it up a third time, and pushed it at me. I put it on the other side of Daniel.

She crawled over there and, with what can only be described as a very... patient look on her face, picked the diaper back up, and gave it to me. So finally I took the diaper and just held it in my hand until I was ready for it, which made her happy again.

Then she crawled off, and slowly started dragging the box of wipes over to us...

Sunshine & Inaugural Wagon Ride!

For their first birthday, Tamar and Daniel received a splendid green wagon from Victoria's parents, Pauline and Richard. The past few weeks have been cold and snowy, so all 3 kids have been enjoying playing with the wagon indoors. Today was sunny and gorgeous (60F/16C) so, after I picked Benji up from the bus stop, we picked up the babies and they rode in the wagon to drop off books at the library, then to the park. Benji brought along part of his "marble race" toy which he declared was a measuring tape, and measured various items along the way. After the park, he joined Tamar and Daniel in the wagon for the ride home. --Victoria

Benji's School -- Reading Time

Parents can volunteer to be a "mystery reader" and read the children a book during the day. Of course, this is easier for parents who work at home or who work near the school. In this photo, Benji is in the upper right, near his friend Michael (who is wearing an orange shirt).  --Victoria
