A few weeks ago, I set up a goldfish tank. It was supposed to run for at least a week before we bought our goldfish: this is to get the water temperature, chemical composition, aeration and filtration system just right in advance, so the fish will stay healthy. During this time, Benji was just as mesmerized with the tank as he would be later, after we got the goldfish. He pulled his rocking chair so that it was just in front of the tank and would sit there for significant periods of time, fascinated with the water, the bubbles, and the decorations. He would occasionally assure me that he could see the fish. Even though we had not yet brought them home from the pet store... I'm not worried that he lacks imagination. --Victoria
