Tamar gets a happy surprise

When I put Tamar and Daniel to bed, they always want their favorite "loveys" with them -- stuffed animals that are part blanket and easy to cuddle at night. Daniel has a lion (named Lino or Lion, now that his pronunciation is better) and Tamar has a blue-grey mouse (named Mowzie).

By the end of the day, Lion and Mowzie are often downstairs and Aaron usually runs down to collect them while I start the bedtime routine. Aaron then makes the toys peek around the door and squeak or growl until Tamar and Daniel notice them and start laughing. Lately, Tamar has started covering her mouth with her hands when she's delighted and surprised and laughing at the same time.

All these fun things converged tonight, as you can see from the sequence below.

How To Handle Three Kids At Once

People sometimes ask me how I go shopping (or do anything) with three kids. The answer usually involves containment of some or all of the kids! (notice Benji reading in the main section of the shopping cart in this photo from last week)  --Victoria
