Tamar the photographer

Tamar has started asking to borrow my phone to take photos.  She takes a TON of photos and I've included a small selection from ones she took a few days ago.  The first one (of me) is cropped from a larger picture that she took.

Snow Day! (for kids) (part 2)

We hung out with our visiting Australian friends, Mandy (in the blue coat) and her son Alexander.  As a Canadian who grew up in Ottawa, it makes me sad that my kids think this is a lot of snow.

Snow Day! (for kids) (part 1)

The entire DC Public School system was closed yesterday because of "inclement weather" -- in DC, that means one inch (2 cm) of snow.  I worked from home and took a break in the middle of the day to play in the snow with the kids for a while.

Tamar helped put salt on the path to our front door and Daniel helped shovel the sidewalk while Benji helped entertain a visiting friends.  Tamar and Benji made snow angels and Daniel . . .  just rolled on the ground laughing, in typical Daniel fashion.

Return of the Blog!!! (I have a new computer)

After years of sterling service, my old laptop finally died.  The new one arrived and I can finally post to the blog again -- hooray!  I'll spend a little while catching up and posting photos that haven't been shared yet.
