Daycare "Moving Up" Ceremony (part 1 of 2)

Tamar and Daniel just had their "moving up" ceremony at daycare.  After a few words from the Director, the ceremony started with Tamar doing a SOLO performance of The Star Spangled Banner!  She did an amazing job (using an upside-down paint brush as a microphone) and you can click here to see a video of her performance on youtube.

Visit to David & Roxana (part 4 of 4 -- ImaginOn Library)

On Monday, we went to the Charlotte ImaginOn, a "library and learning center" -- there were several play and building areas that kept the kids busy and happy for a LONG time.  That kept the adults happy for a long time as well.  Benji built a complex block structure with a lot of ramps but, unfortunately, I did not get a photo of that.

Visit to David & Roxana (part 3 of 4 -- petting zoo!)

David and Roxana took us to a drive-through petting zoo that was AMAZING.  So many animals stuck their heads into our car...  Benji even got to pet a giraffe!  --Victoria

Daniel amused himself by making faces while we waited for our turn to drive through the petting zoo.

The animals appreciated Daniel's enthusiasm.

I think this is an emu.  Super creepy bird, in any case!  Roxana thought they were cute.

This guy was like a toll booth guard.

According to all the animals we met, no one had fed them ALL DAY.

Everyone we met was HUNGRY!

David took this photo when he and Roxana took Daniel to the stables before the drive through (Tamar and Benji wanted to stay in the air-conditioned car at that point).

Visit to David & Roxana in Charlotte, North Carolina (part 2 of 4 -- pool & new house)

We went swimming to beat the hot weather and we were the only ones at the pool!  Later in the trip, we saw the house that David and Roxana are having built in a new development.  The kids enjoyed being able to see a house before it's finished and "walk through the walls."
